Navigation road sign at Coober Pedy, the desert.

Road sign just before side road to Coober Pedy - the city of opal fields. Or, better the village? Everywhere around there were noticed opal fields with huge heaps of filtered soils. Ancient city established about 100 years ago. Many opal shops with variety of relatively cheap precious minerals. When we woke up, in the morning, there was no electricity in the town. The only generator was broken. Showers did not work. Luckily, the thing has been fixed up within 1 hour. Apropos - you have to pay for taking a shower here, 20 cents per 3 minutes. And you have to make it, otherwise you would get stuck in the troubles...
